The World in 2015… according to Google

I am writing again about trends on the internet, because without a doubt this medium is changing rapidly and it subtly influences our way of communicating and even thinking.

Here are some of the trends that Google, via Eric Schmidt (Google’s CEO and former member of the Board at Apple), predicts for the near future:

Five years from now the internet will be dominated by Chinese language content

Today’s teenagers are the model of how the web will work in five years – they jump from app to app to app seamlessly

Five years is a factor of ten in Moore’s law – meaning that in five years computers will be not 5 times better but 30 times

Within five years the broadband will be far better than 100MB and the distinction between TV, radio and web will disappear and

There will be far more video than today.See you in 2015!
